Connie grew up in southern California and then spent many years on the east coast after her education. It was there that she started her career as a physical therapist, and at the same time began a passionate study of life drawing and painting. She eventually moved back to California where she now lives with her husband and son.
My work is intuitive and expressive. The human body has always been a strong source of fascination and inspiration for me. The process of creating a painting involves an allowing of the marks to come forth in response to the source, and to the emotion that arises during the process. I often work with live models, but also from photographs, sketches, or my imagination.
